Compatibility Issues with Netscape

Update - September 2002: Netscape 7.0 has fixed almost all of the problems listed below. The only outstanding issue is viewing Land Titles TIFF Images using the Prizm® Plug-in by TMSSequoia. This plug-in is not supported in Netscape 6.0 or higher.

Update - March 2002: Although we still do not recommend using Netscape 6.x, we have found that Netscape 6.2 has fixed most of the problems preventing its usage with BC OnLine. If you choose to use Netscape 6.2, you may have problems in the following areas:

• Printing items from your Print Selection List
• Saving Land Titles TIFF Images
• Adjusting the Margins in Page Setup
• No Print Preview

If you use Netscape 6.2, please note that we will not be able to provide support to fix these problems. Also note that this applies to version 6.2 only. Versions 6.0 and 6.1 are incompatible with BC OnLine.

October 2001: It has come to our attention that the latest versions of the Netscape web browser software (Netscape 6.x) have functions that make it incompatible with some BC OnLine screens. If you are using Netscape 4.7 or lower, please DO NOT upgrade to their latest release at this time. We are currently in contact with Netscape in order to resolve this problem. We will post an advisory message when this issue is resolved.
