BC OnLine Launches econveyance™
BC OnLine is excited to announce the introduction of a new service. Beginning Monday November 10th, land practitioners who use BC OnLine have access to econveyance™ from RemoteLaw.
Econveyance™ is a web-based service that manages land transfers from start to finish. As a service available through BC OnLine, econveyance™ is able to perform "behind-the-scenes" searches such as Land Title searches. Econveyance™ automatically enters information from the Land Title search into your conveyance forms, so it eliminates data entry errors.
The fees for this service are processed by BC OnLine as standard billing events that display on your BC OnLine statement. This means that you can pass through all costs as disbursements.
The cost of econveyance™ is the standard Land Title search fees and $30 for the purchaser's conveyancer to open a file and $20 for the seller's conveyancer to open a file. GST applies to econveyance™ fees. Econveyance™ is free to Real Estate Agents who start the conveyance process.
In addition to the convenience and reduced risk that comes with econveyance™, this service positions practitioners for the new Electronic Filing Service (EFS) coming soon from Land Titles.

All of these benefits add up to a product that will make transferring land easier, reduce risk, and position you for the future of electronic filing in British Columbia.
